The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between clinically possible rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavioral disorder (pRBD) and orthostatic hypotension (OH) in PD patients, as well as to explore the mechanisms underlying the association.

Binary logistic regression analysis identified the following factors as independently associated with PD-OH H-Y staging [odds ratio (OR) 2.565, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.160-5.673; P = 0.020], RBD (OR 7.680, 95% CI 1.944-30.346; P = 0.004), UPDRS II (OR 1.021, 95% CI 0.980-1.063; P = 0.020), depression (OR 7.601, 95% CI 1.492-38.718; P = 0.015), and cognitive impairment (OR 0.824, 95% CI 0.696-0.976; P = 0.025).
Our results suggest that pRBD is an independent risk factor for OH in patients with PD. We speculate that there may be a close relationship between RBD and OH, which requires attention. Early diagnosis of RBD may help predict the appearance of OH in PD patients.

Eichhornia crassipes is a free-floating macrophyte and a well-known metal hyperaccumulator. It is a promising plant, which harbors a diverse microbial community in its rhizosphere. Therefore it is hypothesized that it can be a good habitat for microorganisms that supports plant growth and increases its phytoremediation potential. The rhizospheric DNA was extracted from the procured plant samples. The library was prepared and sequenced using the Illumina platform. 16S rRNA data from the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform was analyzed using the QIIME software package. Alpha diversity was estimated from statistical indices i.e. Shannon index, Chao1 index, and observed species. The rarefaction plots, rank abundance curve, krona graph, and heat map were generated to study the rhizospheric community in detail. Metagenome consisted of 225,408 flash reads, 185,008 non-chimeric sequences with 17,578 Operational Taxonomic Units (OTU’s), and 4622 OTU’s without singletons. The taxonomic analysis of OTU’s showed that the sequences belonged to major Phyla revealing the dominance of Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Cyanobacteria, and Verrucomicrobia. Hence, development of co-dominant genetic markers is prerequisite for disease investigations in coriander. In-house stem gall resistance and susceptible cultivars transcriptome data were utilized. Totally, 59,933 and 56,861 transcripts were examined, 9141 and 8346 Simple Sequence Repeats (SSR) were identified and the most abundant type was the tri, followed by di, tetra, penta and hexa nucleotide repeats. A total of ten selected SSR-Functional Domain Markers (FDM) were developed based on functional annotation terms associated with pathogen response and validated among ten coriander cultivars and their transferability was examined in five fennel (Foeniculum vulgare L.) cultivars. Nine primer pairs resulted from amplified bands. Marker ACorSGD-1 shown monomorphic bands among coriander genotypes except Acr-1 showed heterologouse and multiple bands in fennel cultivars.
