Pastor Chris: The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving, dedicated parents. He is the oldest of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace to her son at the age of a child.

The LoveWorld ministry involves the whole family. Reverend Ken is Ken’s brother , and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. This ministry has many gospel artists that are the top-selling worldwide.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon is following in her father’s example of sharing God’s Word with the World. Also known by CSO, she has been an award-winning, talented gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship that allowed him to pursue studies at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a priest and minister to the Lord.

Oyakhilome LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations around the globe.

Oyakhilome Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria as well as South Africa. A committed philanthropist Pastor Chris Oyakhilome founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) COFI, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was founded to assist those who are most vulnerable and communities in some of the poorest regions and countries of the world.
